Water Filters for Drinking Water:
Easiest to instal great for renters etc = Counter Top Water Filter. You only need to put the supplied adapter on the end of your tap and it's done!
Out of the way = under sink units. This way you have a separate tap for the filtered water!
A better option for extra sediment removal = a dual under sink filter. While both filter housing can contain any 10" cartridge, the first filter is often just a sediment trap for water with a lot of particles.
For real safety, taste and peace of mind = Reverse Osmosis. This consists of a 4 stage process and a 5L (or larger) reservoir. The water slowly filters through the stages and fills the reservoir so you have ample on tap at al times!
